In case you haven’t gathered this from my other posts, I don’t have any biological children. My husband has 3 that he brought into my life 6 years ago. The youngest was 18 months when I first met my husband, the middle was 10, and the oldest turned 12 the next week. We have talked several times about adding to our little family for a couple of years now, but it just hasn’t worked out…yet. The doctors have said there’s no reason why we can’t have a baby, but since it hasn’t happened yet, I’ve chalked it up to it just not being the right timing. Sometimes that makes me feel better while others it doesn’t. Especially when I see so many others having babies, and many having them that don’t even want them. I have to fight thoughts of “maybe something really is wrong with me”. Don’t get me wrong. I love my bonus children with all of my heart. I am not the kind that feels children have to be born of your body to be “yours”. Those three are my world. I am not looking to replace them and will never love them less just because I have one that’s DNA matches mine.
We have talked about adopting a few times, and still would be open to that option even if we had our own. And if the Lord’s plan is for me to love other people’s biological kids and not have any of my own, then that’s just what I will keep doing. But my heart still wonders what a child that shares my DNA would look like, act like, be like. I’m not sure how many of you have also felt the pangs of disappointment each month can bring when you don’t get the news you’re hoping for. I also know God’s timing is perfect and He has a plan all laid out. Just because I don’t understand it or can’t see all the pieces fitting together doesn’t mean there isn’t.
So with all that being said, I know daily health habits can make a difference which is why I am excited about adding this! Thank you @premamawellness for #gifting me Fertility Support!
