I think one thing we definitely need more of in this world is kindness.
The second thing we need more of is compassion.
This world can seem anything but those things at times, and it is so important to teach our children to be a light in the darkness.

As parents, we need to be teaching our children starting at the youngest of ages to be kind and show compassion to others no matter who they are or where they come from. Sometimes it is hard to figure out how to instill that in our children. I know that I try to model it myself, but I am also trying to find other methods to help teach this to my daughter starting even before she is born.
That is one reason why I am so glad I found Madame Alexander dolls.
Madame Alexander dolls have helped parents everywhere teach kindness to their children for nearly 100 years. They believe that “what a doll does for a little girl is develop her capacity to love others and herself.” I love that.
I don’t know about you, but I remember playing with baby dolls from a very young age. They really can bring out the kind, compassionate side of you. We often model what we see others doing with small children, as well as sometimes our natural instincts to “mother” or “parent” or “protect” kick in.
They inspire make-believe.
They inspire creativity.
They inspire learning.
They simply inspire.
When our kids drop their dolls, we can teach them to pick them up and hug them.
When they get dirty, we can teach them the proper way to clean them.
When our kiddos are feeling sad, we can use the dolls to help cheer them up.
They can read to the dolls.
They can talk to the dolls.
They can have tea parties with the dolls.
They can share them with those they meet along the way.
There is so much that can be done to help inspire our children to be kind, compassionate individuals and instill skills that will last a lifetime.
Madame Alexander dolls help kids learn to love and enjoy playing while creating lasting relationships with their dolls. I still have some of my dolls from when I was a kid. They quickly become your friends that you want to hang onto and pass down to the next generation. The company has 95 years of experience as doll makers. They truly want the baby to become your baby’s baby.
I love how realistic the features and expressions are on these dolls. I also think it is really neat that they come with blanket and adoption certificates and have a soft body. Most of their dolls are for ages 2+ but they do have an adorable newborn line (the doll I have is part of this line) an 18mo+ , and a 3+line.
Though I am already talking to her about her doll, I am truly excited for my little girl to arrive and meet her baby in person. I can already see her growing older with this baby and playing with it and taking it everywhere. Although, I am definitely not going to rush the moments.
